Alfred "Al" Bakker, 81, of Wildwood, Florida passed peacefully on Wednesday evening July 9, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Lois (Anderson) Bakker of Wildwood, FL; a son, Phillip Bakker and his wife Julianne Fiore Bakker of Braintree, MA; a daughter, Jill Bakker Tetrault of Wildwood, FL; a brother, Edward Bakker of Whitinsville, MA; a sister, Geraldine Kortekamp of Monson, MA. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Thomas Bakker, and sisters Carolyn Simmons and Nancy Faber.
The son of Vassel and F. Marion (Seagrave) Bakker, Al was born on June 18, 1944 in Whitinsville, MA. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA; and was the owner of Bakker's Flower Boutique in Holden, MA. He was past president of New England Teleflora and the Holden Lions Club. Al and his wife Lois moved to Wildwood, FL in 2011 from Holden, MA. He loved to be surrounded by his family, especially summers in Maine. He also enjoyed gardening, traveling, dancing, and singing.
Private inurnment services will be held at a later date in Massachusetts at the convenience of the family.
