I attended Texas Tech University from 1973 to 1981, tried hard to cram a 5-year architecture education into eight. I took two years off to do Christian mission work in New Jersey. Finally graduated in 1981 with a degree in Geography, then obtained a Masters in City and Regional Planning from UT-Arlington in 1987. I have lived & practiced in Dallas-Ft Worth area, TX, Albany, GA, Boise, ID, Baraboo, Medford, and Wausau, WI & now in Caribou, ME. While living in Wisconsin my wife Candy and I became organic dairy farmers. We are working to start-up a dairy here, although we will probably be raising goats instead of Jersey cattle. Our goal is to sell pre-processed milk to the public. We have two young children with us, although they are our two oldest grandchildren, whom we adopted in 2006.

My family moved to within three blocks of Hirschi High School, but found out later we were in City View School District. So I got bussed first to Reagan Jr Hi, then The High School-No Regrets.

City View School District held one of the first local elections in the country in August 1971, about a month after the ratification of the 26th Amendment. I voted absentee in advance. I am in all liklihood the first 18 year-old in the country to vote.

I was in the 'Big Red Band from Coyote Land.' I developed my appreciation for classical music there.

To keep peace in a family with a chesseheadette wife, I now root for the Cowboys, the packers when they are not playing the Cowboys, and whoever is playing the '49ers.
