I started MSU the day after graduation from WFSH. I transferred to George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, TN in the summer of 1962--went from all professors knowing me because my Dad was a history professor at MSU to no one knowing me when I arrived by bus to Nashville. I received a B.S. and M.A. degrees. I taught in a resource room for blind children for 2 years in Memphis,Tn, a half year as a first grade teacher in Springdale, Arkansas, and then 29 years as an itinerant teacher for visually impaired children in the Clear Creek ISD. My interest in blind children began as a term paper at WFHS, and I was so fortunate to love what I did during those years.
Mr. Bradley was a great math teacher. I had him for 3 years with a test every Friday--pep rally or not!
