I am very much enjoying hearing from old classmates....our roots are important! So sorry I can't attend the reunion, but my husband's health will not permit. My life since 1960..... Two children.....8 grandchildren!....what joys!! A rewarding profession. Thankfully, my early years instilled the value of education, and I belatedly completed bachelor's and master's degrees. My husband of 32 years is in declining health which is sad to see; but, I try to focus on the good years we had living in Dallas and then moving to the ranch life of central Texas. I'm not done yet, hopefully...there is much of this ole' world I hope to see and experience. The best to you all.......

Sadly, I put immature focus on marrying way too young and graduating a year early! So, my school years were not begun with the class of 1960, but the class of 1961. (My parents would not give "their blessing" on my marrying until I finished high school. A motivator that has remained throughout my life is 'give me a challenge and I'll find a way every time', thus I went to summer school and graduated a year early....) Fond memories, though, of Austin elementary, Reagan Junior High, and being a majorette with the band! Many good times...... A recent memory I had due to my grandkids asking if I remembered Buddy Holly...hello!!!!!.....do ya'll remember us all crying in the halls the day we heard of his death??? My memory is walking through the smoking hall....remember "smoking hall??" ....(I never smoked but it is a vivid memory!) and everyone crying their eyes out! My grandkids are impressed that I know all the words to Buddy Holly songs!
