Left WF in 67 and moved to Dallas. Went to work for Jack In The Box in 68. Moved to Fl. with JIB and operated stores in Daytona Beach and St. Petersburg. Married High School sweatheart in 76, Sally(Pridgen) Graybow. Devorsed in 77.
Lived on 30" Hunter and sailed Alantic and Gulf 75-79. Several trips to Bahammas. In 79 JIB closed all of its stores east of the Mississippi. Had a choice to sail to Houston and work for JIB or take 12 weeks severance pay and sail to the VIRGIN ISLANDS for a year. THAT WAS 1979 AND MY YEAR IS NOT UP YET!!!!!!
With Jerry Ritter as a partner we bought a 41" MORGAN OUT ISLAND and I did term charters (for a week at a time). In 1987 I had a charter with a family of 3, Husband, Wife, and son. In 2004 they came back but the wife was divorced (9yrs). So it was mom and son. We hit if off well bt still just business. She booked another charter the next year by her self. Our emails and phone calls switched from business to more personal to very personal. We met in Lousiana for a family reunion and fell in LOVE!!!!!! She decided she would retire at 63 instead of 65 and come back in June when went Island hopping to Venezuela to have inexpensive work done the boat. Check out www.antiquity-adventures.com . Two years later we were married. Now we do charters in the winter and live in Darien, IL a suburb of Chicago in the summer.
