Jimmy Adams was a very close friend. He lived on Lake Wichita when I knew him. We ran togther during late 1958, '59 & '60 - we lost touch during my Senior year. I was completely involved with my HS sweethart and little else mattered.
Adams and I were involved in GO-Carts. We super built 2 cycle chain saw engins into Super GO-carts and racing. We went through the north Texas and southern Oklama racing tournaments. We made a team hard to beat.
Charles Brooks and Bobby Walkier should remember him well. Jimmy's father was about 6' 2" and 250# and like father like son, Jimmy was a well endowed young man. His legs were mostly lost to Polio but his father welded a brace for his best leg and Adams learned to walked with it and a cane.
Raymond, at 78, a year or two really doesn't make much difference. It's not the length of the road that matters. It's the twists and turns and ups and the downs and the many stops along the way.
Happy birthday!!! All that time we worked at Paulk's I didn't realize you were so very much older than me.
