How long have you attended CCC:

2 years

What attracted you to this church:

We used to live about 100 miles north of Wichita and I remember a friend saying: "I know where I would go to church if I lived in Wichita. I would go to Central Community Church." I did not try to remember that statement as I had no reason to try to remember a name of a church she would go to if she lived there. And then God moved friends Marvin and Jo Daniels to Wichita about 6 months before we moved here. And they were going to CCC and Jo emphasized how beautiful the music was also. Jo is a musician and I am not so I didn't pay much heed to that although I love her singing voice and piano playing. I am B-I-B-L-E oriented so I love Jo's biblical and spiritual gifts God has given her. Back to the attraction of CCC, the people in CCC are so friendly and treated us as family the first moment we met any of you. WOW!!! I find people here very Christ-like so I find Jesus here. And when He is here living in the hearts of His people, there is no need to look for Him elsewhere.

How long in High IMPACT:

2 years

What attracted you to the class:

Sunday school was utmost upon my heart as church was. It is a must with me. We are never too old to learn. I was trying out classes at CCC and one Sunday, a greeter saw my wandering eyes look and asked if they could help me to where I was going. I was looking for Pastor Bob Beckler's Sunday school class. I had heard in the short time we had been here how good it was and that "The Word" was taught-the desire of my heart. And greeter "Janet Buck, God's very own servant said "Oh come to our Sunday school class, we would love to have you". They even let us sit at their table-WOW!!! I really wanted to search some more(I like adventure) but we like HIGH IMPACT too well to leave!!

Share a testimony here:

I was not brought up in a home of no prayer and no Bible teaching. I was taken to Sunday school. I desperately needed someone to love me as I felt very unloved at home. It was at SS that I learned about the love of God and that Jesus loved me!!! What a Saviour!!! It was just what I needed. God always provides!!! Later, one time I remember Bill and I going to a friend's church and we went down front to give our lives to the Lord. The pastor then asked if we felt any thing. I was trying but did not. That did not stop me from continuing to seek and keep Him as Lord of my life.(Never, never, never give up.- Winston Churchill) I learned later down the line that you do not have to get a certain feeling on the inside to be saved.I do not have an exact day that I was saved, but I thank God for my strict upbringing because of it, I found my living Saviour who welcomed me into His arms just the way I was(which was yikes)!!! What a Saviour!!!

Additional Comments:

Thank you all for being my friend. When friends love Jesus, we learn more about our Saviour and what joy that brings to us and glory to Him!!!
