Doty, Ronald L. “Ron”, 64, former co-founder & co-owner of the Design Centre, passed away, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Services, 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. First St. Survivors include his life partner, Randy Matthews of the home; brother & sister-in-law, Steve & Jamie Doty of Wichita; nephews, Eric Doty of Keystone, CO, Craig (Jenny) Doty of Prairie Village, KS; niece, Amy (Dave) Murphy of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Pat Parker of Dallas, TX; and his longtime friend and business partner, Curtis Harshfield of Wichita. A memorial has been established with Victory in the Valley, 3755 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67218.
