Martha Jean (Murray) Tharp

Graveside service for Martha Jean Tharp, 71, of Enid, will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Hawley Cemetery with Rev. Gary Lilly officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Martha was born on January 5, 1944, in Wichita, Kansas to Lloyd Russell and Annabell (King) Murray, and passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 in Enid. She grew up in Wichita and graduated from Wichita East High School in 1962. On July 25, 1964, Martha married Owen Tharp in Wichita, Kansas, where they made their home. The family moved to Waukomis in 1971. Martha worked at Wheatheart Nutrition for several years. Owen and Martha moved to Enid in 2008.

Martha is survived by her children and their spouses, Brenda and Michael Stover of Mena, Arkansas, Larry and Michelle Tharp of Alva, and Karen and Russell Bowling of Douglas; 5 grandchildren Tim Kornele, Taylor Tharp, Dustin Stover, Kaitlyn Bowling and Jacob Bowling; and close friend Larry Hromas of Waukomis.
