Gilbert Leroy Seba

April 25, 1944 - August 27, 2017

Gilbert Leroy Seba was born on April 25, 1944 in Kingman, Kansas. He married his best friend, Elaine Watson,(East Class of 1962) on November 30, 1963 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Wichita, Kansas and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Papa, as he was known, lived for the welfare, happiness and enjoyment of his family. He worked for 43 years at Beech Aircraft Corp. until his retirement in 2007. He had many hobbies over the years, including reading, computers and genealogy. He loved traveling with his family and passed it on to his kids and grandkids. Leroy died on Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, where he resided. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am, September 2, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 124 N Roosevelt St, Wichita. Inurnment will be held at 2 pm the same day, at the Harper City Cemetery, Harper, Kingman County, Kansas. Survived by his wife, Elaine J. (Watson) Seba; mother, Elnora A. (Dellenbaugh) Seba-Nicolet; sister, Barbara A. (Seba) Hodge (Humphrey); brothers, Kenneth M. Seba and James M. Seba (Cindy Yost); children, Donald C. Seba (M. Diane Edens), Jeannine M. (Seba) Rickaby (Daniel) and Susan J. (Seba) Loyd (Robert); grandchildren, Magdalena (Seba) Linot (Jeremy), Kira (Seba) Solf (Brian), Ashley Rickaby, Michael Rickaby, Aura Seba (Richard Hull), Joseph Seba, Thomas Seba (Cheyenne), Makenzi (Edens) Logsdon (Scott), Dominic Seba and Franklin Loyd; great grandchildren, Zadrian, Ember, Zachary, Quinten, Isabelle, Mackenzie, Melisonde, Bridgit, William, Icesis, Paravel, Cydney, Quinton, Scottie and Emma, along with numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog Abigail. He is preceded by his brother, Marshall Seba. Memorial contributions can be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
