Marjorie S. (Spangler) Crisman

February 7, 1945 ~ May 7, 2021 (age 76)

Marjorie Kay (Spangler) Crisman, 76, passed away May 7, 2021, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born February 7, 1945 in Wichita, to Eugene C. and Frances (Catlin) Spangler, the oldest of four daughters.  As a young girl she learned to play the viola and piano and enjoyed membership in the Campfire Girls organization. Marge graduated from Wichita High School East, Wichita State University, and earned a master’s degree in Library Science from the Kansas State Teachers College of Emporia, KS.  A person of many talents, Marge's professional life included work as a research librarian at Gettysburg College, a travel agent in Wichita, IT data management and employee training at Koch Industries, and time with Dean and DeLuca. Marge enjoyed traveling, gourmet cooking, gardening, crocheting, and exploring family Genealogy. She relished time with friends and family, cooking out, playing Bridge, fishing and camping at area lakes, and taking in the many cultural activities of Wichita.  Due to health reasons, Marge relocated to Ashland and then to Hutchinson, to be near family.  Marge is survived by: sisters Virginia (Rev. Harrison) Skeele of Hillsborough, NJ, Barbara (James) Gillaspie of Hutchinson, KS; and cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marion (Steve) Wong.   Graveside services will be 3:00pm, Friday, May 14, 2021 at Kensington Gardens, Wichita. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice Care, Hutchinson, Crossroads Community Church, Somerville, NJ and Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, KS. Share condolences at www.Cozine.com.
