Sister Natalie just pointed out she saw a comment on the blog page of the WBHS web site. It's from Alice Gillette and here's what she said, "Hello to old classmates Linda Millard, Susan Spruce, Pam Osman and Paula Kuhlman-
How nice to see that you are all looking so well! I am a classmate who left before high school, but my sister Jeanne, who was at Wms Bay High, came to the reunion and saw Paula. I have good memories of Williams Bay. I visited briefly in 2000 and ate at the Arctic Circle which I remember when it was a drive-in. A waitress there said she had been in town a long time - 35 years - which made me feel ghost-like since I left 49 years ago!! How is Sandy Henderson and Scarlett Gibson Hughes?? May you all be happy and well, Alice Gillette

Paula - do you know where she is?

I talked to Patti and got Butch Horvath's address. I put it into his profile. Patti said she sees Cindy once in a while as well.

Hey Handsome! Glad you wrote on the forum page! For a while there it seemed like I was just talkin to myself on that page. :) I was going to write and say I was happy that you joined in! Do you think you'll be able to attend the reunion?? Please chime in with any fun ideas you have or would like to see done at the reunion. We're gonna try to make it fun but not annoying. Check back often ok? Sooz

Collis Stewart

Not at all! Poke in anytime! Let's see, for that type of expertise check w/ John Roth. As I recall, the tailgate on his Olds station wagon had a built-in half barrel on ice. That was a hoot! CCS

Hey Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! We had BIG snow yesterday (11/25). Big snow then BIG rain. Conditions for good sledding for about an hour then it got to be really too juicy and wet. Warmed up to mid 40's later than afternoon now all evidence is gone. Ye gads, I love snow but that was way too soon for me.

11/30/08 06:33 PM #22

Susie Eland (Spruce)

Whoa - we're getting MORE snow! Baby sister Christina sent me shots from Byron, Illinois and they got a bunch!

Added more photos to the Hometown Photo link. Enjoy!

There may be people who would have the absolute audacity to call you Arizonians weinies!! It was 0 degrees here last night and colder than Scrooges heart before the ghosts!! Ah, what I would do for one day of "Sunny and 70!!"

Message from Chris Keelan (Weith)

I am so sorry I was unable to make it to the reunion. I planned on coming
but a few days before the trip I had a real estate transaction that was
going south and I had to stay in Colorado I really would have loved seeing
you all but that is what happened. I live in Colorado most of the year and
I teach skiing at Copper Mountain along with selling real estate in Summit,
Lake and Park Counties. My husband still teaches in Wisconsin and is a
trombone professor at Lawrence University in Appleton. I taught choral music
at Appleton East High School and retired 5 years ago to start two new
careers in Colorado. If you are ever in this area please let me know. I can
get you some great deals on lift tickets at Copper Mountain and If you know
anyone interested in real estate I can help in that area too. It would be
great to hear from you.

Best Regards,

Chris Keelan(Weith)

Richard Lawrence

I would have been in the class of 1969, but my family moved to San Francisco at the end of 5th grade.  I found this site via some nostalgia-driven Google searches.

Back then, I was Ricky Lawrence ... I have added a profile page here.

I cannot believe how many names I recognize on this website ... John Roth, Dennis Menasco (I was shocked to learn he died in 2008),  Mike Burch, Paula Kuhlman, Susie Spruce, Sandra Henderson, Jack Oulund, and Gunnar Bergersen to name a few …  amazing.

I was last in Williams Bay in 1973 when I drove from Chicago to Madison to visit University of Wisconsin (I was considering going to grad school there, but ended up at University of Illinois).

My bucket list clearly includes another visit back to Williams Bay ... I have very fond and surprisingly lucid recollections of kindergarten through 5th grade there.
