Thank you, all of you.
You made and fill my memories. From Rawls Byrd (1st grade),
then Norge, then Bruton Heights (7th), James Blair (8th),
and Lafayette (to the end).
You taught me much.
Many good memories. So many.
Many good memories surround music: choir and band concerts,
months practicing, marching eight to the five in parades
and half-time shows, band trips, school dances and musicals.
Each year the freshmen got shorter!
You are treasures.
What a delight to hear of your growing families!
Just one sad memory (outside of lost classmates) came when
the historic German coin display was stolen from Frau
Sherman's office.
Those coins came from my great-grandparents and could
never be replaced. Another lesson: show pictures and
guard the real treasures.
I have sorrowed for you to hear of your lost loved ones
and of lost classmates (my parents send news from the Gazette).
Two years ago, utter devastation. Only the One
who holds all things together, held me together...
...holds us together---salted as we are around the world.
I wonder:
Would you and you loved ones, children and grandchildren,
nieces and nephews, be blessed by a cartoon science book?
You can *UnLock Rocks* together with them using items in
your kitchen.
This little book is all I can offer since I live so far away.
Thanks again.
Sincerely yours
