Tana Halverson Dally

Since 1989, I have graduated from college with a teaching degree and then a masters in administration. I taught for 9 years before becoming a high school administrator. I got married in 1996 to Donavan Dally, a WHS 1990 graduate and we lived in Battle Mountain, Nevada for 4 years. Our son Brett was born in 1998. We moved to Gillette, Wyoming, in 2000 when Donavan went to work for the coal mine and I went to work for the school district. I also have continued rodeoing, training barrel racing horses, and raising and selling horses. I stay busy with that, work, and going to Brett's activities.

I never was much of a wild child or got into too much trouble, but I did rebel somewhat during my senior year. Paula Farber and I got caught skipping school and got detention from Mr. Norland. We had to sit in the "blue room" if I remember it right. It wasn't much of a punishment as we sat with each other and visited the entire time. My punishment at home was much worse - it took my dad two days to calm down enough to yell at me. Paula's dad really scared me when he pulled me over on the highway to "chat" with me about it. He had an unfair advantage in scaring us as he was an officer of the law!
