I graduated from Kent State University in 1990 with a BA in history and sociology.
I received a Paralegal Certificate from Lakeland Community College in 1995 and worked as a paralegal for several years.
I moved from OH to South Dakota in 2005 and married for the first time last November in Deadwood, SD. My husband and I live on an Indian reservation in SD; he's an attorney and is a judge for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court.
I just founded and am now establishing a nonprofit organization; its focus will be to provide advocacy, support, services and career assistance for adults with learning disabilities, Asperger's Syndrome/Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and ADD/ADHD.
I still enjoy writing and am also involved in local music and theater organizations. My stepfather is now in a nursing home with Lewy Body Disease, a combination of dementia and Parkinson's Disease-like physical symptoms and I'm currently putting together a "memoir" book for the poems and stories he's written throughout the past forty-odd years.
