Chasity Blasius LaFave

After graduating from Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education, I pursued a career with the airlines. I was a flight attendant for American for 5 years until I got pregnant with my daughter Lily. Motion sickness. pregnancy nauseation, and flying several flights a day do not mix!

I eventually got back into education and worked at Greenfield Elementary on the south side of Milwaukee for 3 years as a first grade teacher. I really enjoyed working there. It was a bilingual school and 90% of my students spoke spanish.

Eventually my husband Chris and I got really sick of the cold weather and decided to move to a warmer climate and settled on Wilmington, NC. We live about 2 miles from the beach and love it. Of course we do miss the midwestern mentality and our family and friends. Fortunately for us, when you live near the beach everyone loves to come and visit!

I have been teaching a combination of 1st and 2nd grade for the past 5 years here in NC and again love my job (most days)! We had a handsome baby boy 2 years ago named Louis and Lily is now 9.

There are just too many to list. I remember the great times we had our senior year....partying at Robins before school, causing trouble in Ms. Pederson's class. All of them involve Stacey who thank goodness is still my BFF inspite of all the miles between us!

Gosh, where do I start. Not sure I learned a whole lot....sad to say!

Loved the name Lily because it was simple, I love the flowers, and it wasn't popular at the time.
Louis (pronounced Louie) is Chris' middle name and his grandfathers name. Both also go well with LaFave.

We had vacationed here and liked it, along with the dreadful WI winters. We first looked in FL and then decided against it and headed to NC. I always wanted to live near the ocean. Lily shares my love for the ocean and hopes to someday become a marine biologist. That would sure be nice!
