BRADENTON, FL — Richard E. & Joanne M. (nee Moore) Schwertfager , of Bradenton, Florida (formerly Ransomville). Joanne, age 77, passed away on February 28, 2011; Richard , age 77, passed away on June 10, 2011.

They are survived by their daughters, Linda J. (Daniel) Kerwin of Wilson, NY and Susan A. Senior of Pinehurst, NC; their grandchildren, Richard , Christopher, Lindsay, Courtney and Sarah.

Richard graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a BS and MS in Education, was an Army Veteran and a Physical Education Teacher/Coach for the Wilson Central School District. Joanne graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a BS in Education and was a Computer Laboratory Instructor at Lewiston-Porter High School. Richard and Joanne were avid golfers, who also enjoyed swimming, reading, walking, and socializing with friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011, at 11 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church.
