I’ve located a grave and census information for Norman H. Whittaker.

In the 1930 U.S. Census he was 7 years old, lived in Wilson with his Great Uncle, Harold N. Whittaker, his Great Aunt, Mabel K. Whittaker and with three other people, Don J. Whittaker (age 2), possibly his brother, Dorothy Mahar (15), a niece of the elder Whittakers, and Stephen Hunter (42), a lodger.

His grave is in the Oakland Rural Cemetery, Porter Center, with his Great Aunt and Great Uncle. An online family tree indicates that he was their son. I am guessing that they adopted him.

The U.S. Social Security Death Index states that his birthdate was 31 Aug 1922, his last residence was in Virginia Beach City, VA, and that he died in July of 1986.

We would like to find an obituary for him.
