I currently live in Roanoke, Virginia. It is a beautiful area that is 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I work as the education program director at Western Virginia EMS Council, where I oversee 152 fire and EMS agencies' educational curriculum. I am an adjunct faculty at Jefferson College of Health Sciences and STILL in school. I will be graduating in August with my MHS from Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC.
I have been married for 2 years to a wonderful man that I met when my roller derby team played his roller derby team. We dated for almost 2 years (with 3 hours distance) and he decided that he liked Roanoke a lot better than Richmond! I still play roller derby, but he hung up his skates and moved into a coaching role.
We have 6 cats and 1 dog. We volunteer at one of our local animal shelters and have sucker written all over us.
I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the United States with my job but look forward to visiting some of these places again when I am not working. My husband served 2 tours off of the coast of Baghdad and assures me that there are places abroad that I must see as well.
I look forward to seeing everyone. This is SO exciting!
