Unfortunately, I didn't join my classmates for Grade 13 graduation in 1962. After grade 11, I attended Harry E. Guppy H.S. of Commerce and graduated from there in 1961 but my first job was back at Riverside High as an office secretary (with Mrs. Allen)! Mr. Walton was still the principal at that time. I was there until I married in 1965 then worked in Detroit for a lawfirm until 1985. Came back to Windsor to Hiram Walker's until I retired in 1999. The person who hired me at Hiram Walker's was my former classmate, Gord Thompson. While at Walker's, I resumed my education at the U. of W. and finally, after 24 years as a part-time student, received my B.A. Then received a few promotions at work and retired as a Budget Analyst in the Finance Dept.
After Hiram Walker's, I spent 3 years at home, working around the house and building a lovely garden, which I really enjoy. Once everything was done, I got really bored and started looking for something part-time. The job at the church is the best job I've ever had! I'm sure most church secretaries can attest to that.
Would love to hear from some of my classmates. Several of us meet for lunch/dinner a few times a year and we're always wanting more of you to join with us.
