After I graduated from RHS, I went on and taught school for a number of years in London, Ontario. I married the son of a minister and after my daughter was in University I returned to University in Toronto and obtained my Masters of Divinity and became a Presbyterian Church Minister. I was the minister in Ailsa Craig for ten years and then was called to a church on Vancouver Island just outside Victoria in Sidney. I continue to live here but am semi retired. I resigned from full time ministry when my husband had severe health problems and in 2009 he died of cancer which was completely separate from his other health problems. I preach as often as I can find someone who needs me. I would love a part time church now. I would like to do some travelling but need
someone else who is interested also.
I enjoy eating out and we have some great restaurants in Sidney.
I am going to California in May and will be in Ontario in August.
Last July I married Charles McCaffree and we wintered in Arizona this winter. Charles is an ardent golfer and I ride in the golf cart.
We are returning to Arizona this year as we really enjoy the blue winter skies, the sun and the moderate temperatures. Of course the golf courses down there are quite a magnet for my husband.
I have just finished nine weeks of preaching around Victoria.
I transferred to RHS from Kennedy Collegiate after my parents moved to Riverside and took my Grade 12 there. One of my sisters, Judy, went to Riverside High for a year before transferring to W.D. Lowe. I took some courses from UWO and then my Masters from Knox College, University of Toronto. I have taken many continuing ed courses. I took a course in Calgary last November on Making the Most of Retirement.
It seems like a long time since I lived on Edward Street in Riverside. Since then I have lived in London, Ailsa Craig and now Sidney BC which is a beautiful town by the sea.
