Judy passed away on March 6, 2025, in Florida. She will be cremated and her ashes will be spread at two beaches, one of which will be Elder Lane Beach in Winnetka, her lifelong favorite beach.

Judy was the recipient of a heart transplant in 2009 and lived for almost 16 years with her new heart.

Besides Judy's numerous friends, there are no immediate survivors.

Judy went to the hospital just three weeks ago with a very bad stomachache. She was diagnosed with colon cancer that had already spread to her lungs but because she had a heart transplant there were no treatments that could be offered her. She was in a medically induced coma for her last days due to the severe pain and expired after only three weeks from her initial visit to the hospital.
