Ferrick, William John (Billy) Jr.
William John Ferrick, Jr. (Billy) died at Cedar Sinai Hospital after a traffic accident on March 17, 2009. Billy, a thirty year resident of Los Angeles, grew up in Winnetka and Glencoe. His musical career as composer and producer was supplemented by his first love, teaching piano, drums, and guitar to children and adults. He was preceded in death by his father, William, Sr., as well as two brothers, James and Mark. He was the much loved brother of John (Maureen) and Melanie (Jean, Paul Barre) and his mother, Irene. A memorial mass will be said at Sacred Heart Church, Winnetka, at 11 a.m. on June 19, 2009. A private interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Evanston. There will be a musical memorial that night held from 8:00 p.m. until midnight in Glenview. Donations in his memory may be sent to Safegaurd the Children Office, Archbishop of Los Angeles, 3424 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90010.

Billy and I were childhood friends, and I have very fond memories of him, and whenever I think of him, a big smile crosses my face and heart.
