Karen was my classmate for 6, 7 & 8th grades at Locust Jr. High. She was a pleasant person. I remember that she often would bring an acoustic guitar and sing for us in class for special occasions. Her preferred music was folk.
A research associate was unable to surface an obituary on Karen, though given the following Linda came up with, I'm wondering if our Karen may have been one of the very seasoned sailors who met their fate out on Lake Michigan this summer?
Karen was showing in Gurnee in 2007 when we began outreach efforts to bring the class into the tent. You might be able to scare her up at 847/918-0850 or 847/363-8903.
Should you reach her, DO let her know of the class website. By far, our most effective outreach efforts have been by friends reaching out to those they knew. I suspect you might bring some cheer to her life. Good luck!
