Carol Barton (Gentz) (1971)

Losing Franny this year was one of the hardest things I have ever been through. She and I were apart by miles for many years. Then, she and Lester built a house less than a mile from me just three years ago and she was so terribly happy back home in Winnie. She and Lester had a wonderful life together and she made all of our family gathering so much fun. To lose her so suddenly was almost too much for all of us to bear. She was one of the most selfless people I have ever known and I miss her very much and think of her every day.
May God watch between me and thee while we are absent one from another. I Love you Franny.

Lester Fontenot (1970)

The love of my life for 38 beautiful years. We had lunch together the day of our 38 year aniversary and then she drop me off at the airport and gave me my last kiss. She depart from this world that night to go to a better place, which I know she even makes brighter. She had me from our very first date. We raised three beautiful sucessful children together, which she was very proud of. She was the quite motivating force behind me that drove me to be sucessful. She thought I could do anything, which I would try just for her. She ask for nothing from me and I tried to give her the world. There is not a day that goes by since she left this world that I do not think of her. I made her a promise that if anything every happen to her that I would go on which I am trying to do and keep that promise made.

To Lester and Carol:  Frances was consistently kind and respectful to everyone she encountered.  As a freshman, I remember her making me feel welcome which reduced my first year anxiety alot.  What a lovely lady.  I know you miss her sorely.  You have my deepest sympathy.
