Hi Betty, I want to thank you for letting us know about your father and I am sorry for your loss. I knew your Dad well, heck there were only fifty something of us in 1971. I was neither a close friend or an enemy. I do know he had close friends like all of us, but today I really whish I had reached out more to him. I haven't heard anything about him since I left Winnie in 1973. I am happy to hear he was married and has a family. A good family one who cares enough to let his old classmates know of his passing.
Your notification about your dad, was one of the first email's I read today. I was and am very touched by it. Since I read it, I have been crying uncontrollably. I think it is because I realize I could have been a better friend or even just a little bit nicer to him. I don't know why it takes some of us a lifetime to learn how to act?
Thank you very much for your note. It has touched something very deep inside of me. I will keep your family in my prayers.
