OK I will be the first to test this out. Thanks for creating this website Jeff/Dave. I think I'm over myself enough now that I can look at the past and not have a coronary over some of the stuff I pulled back then. Now I'm having coronaries for more age appropriate reasons. Thank goodness I've grown up (pretty much) and found some serenity here and there. I am very much looking forward to a reunion to touch base with all of you. As I go through the class list, although there were only a few I'd have considered close friends at the time, there are so many people that I knew fairly well that I am sorry to have lost touch with. I hope everyone shows up to the reunion, I think this is going to be the one that counts!

Hey Dawn,

I can relate to thinking back to those days with horror . I walked into my bank not too  long ago and working there was a lady that I had known from school . She was one of the popular girls back then and I was just a geek !!!

She and her friends used to tease me , because I was shy and a country kid .

My heart was in my throat as I saw her and all the old feelings came back and I felt like running away !!!

Instead , I did the adult thing and stayed... LOL ...wouldn't you know it , as the line progressed, I ended up at her counter ...oh no !!!

I introduced myself and said to her that  she probably would not remember me from school because I was just a geek ...Her answer was priceless ...she said  , "oh Elaine , we were all geeks in those days "

We share a friendly smile and chat now everytime I see her at the bank .

Talk to you all soon,

Elaine Banfield

Hi Jeff, Dawn, Elaine and anybody that reads this,

I think this is just a great forum for sharing!

I too had similar feelings about people from the past (not knowing how they felt about me) and although I didn't realize it at the time I realize now that I was quite high on myself.

I seem to recall myself liking most everybody. I can remember times when I had teased certain individuals for some teenage reasons??????? I deeply regret those days and hope those people forgive me.....for I don't know what got into me.....other than perhaps the devil LOL....teenage attitudes and rebellion I guess. But I love you all and I realize today that I missed out on so much with so many of you.

I hung out with so many people from other areas of Winnipeg, but those of you in the KE Photo Album who I knew and either danced with liked or chatted with at one time or another....I always wanted to be a part of your group as well, not sure why I didn't?????? Maybe someone can fill me in as part of my soul search. Most of the time I remember feeling like I didn't fit in or I wasn't liked, I don't know, can't remember.

I cannot wait to see you all at the Reunion! XOXOXOXXOXOXOX........

Hi Jeff, love the site. It's so cool to see all the old pics you put up. I was on trying to chat with you all, but I can't get to the bottom of the chat page. Can you add a scroll bar to the right side of the page? I hope you can fix this, I'd love to chat with everyone. Thanks for getting this up and running, GREAT JOB!!

Hi everyone. It's great to hear from people from the past. I don't know how many people remember me, I think that I was pretty quiet back in high school. I'm definitely not quiet anymore. If you would like to talk, send me a message. I'm still in Winnipeg. Three years of high school drafting and I became an Engineer, a Locomotive Engineer for Via Rail. I wasn't sure who created this website at first so I wasn't sure how much info to put on. Now that I know, I'll update my profile.

Jeff/Dave and Alumni

First chance I've had to check out the site and you both did an AWESOME job. I personally would like to thank both of you for your hard work and dedication to what I know will be a BLAST from the PAST into the FUTURE!

Sorry I wasn't able to make it for Pub Nite but as I informed Colvin, I have been going through therapy for a ruptured Achillies tendon and I am suppose to stay off it as much as possible. Wednesday is a therapy day.

For those of you posting or trying to reach me on Facebook - I really don't check it that often especially since my home computer broke down several weeks ago (even this I am doing from work so please don't tell my boss - lol).

There is no doubt that 1977 was a super exciting year and like the kind Bank Teller said, "We were ALL geeks" but what a lovely bunch of geeks we were (maybe still are - we'll see next year).

I am going to make a greater effort to check out the site on a regular basis and impart my "not always welcomed" comments. I am truly looking forward to touching base with all of you next year and during the interim.

Take care, keep safe, and God Bless you all!

I can't seem to find the email Jeff Sydorchuk sent out a few days ago (it was in my email box) on this site, but I want to say how grateful I am to his hard work and such kind words about how we have sadly lost three school mates in the past year.  Both Jeff and Dave Colvin have been outstanding in their contribution to this site and for the initiation of our reunion next year.  Thanks so much you two; where would we be without you!!

I'm days away from booking my flight to get to Winnipeg in time for our High School Reunion.  So, my message to everyone is:  If I can get there from the UK then there is no excuse for anyone else.  Let's get together and have some fun!! -Anne

To all those who shared those glorious school days with me and will be fortunate to be reuniting after 35 years, I have to tell you, I certainly am envious!  Since the beginning of the idea of a class reunion some two years ago, I have been looking forward to the day when I could once again lay eyes on, and catch up with those I thought were lost forever. Sadly, circumstances dictated that I will not be able to take part...this time. So sorry Anne, you were right up there on my list of special friends I wanted to see. I hope you have an amazing time and a safe trip.

Not being able to make it does not stop me from passing on my massive gratitude, to those two guys who made this opportunity possible and brought it all to fruition - Jeff Sydorchuk and Dave Colvin. yes Needless to say, you two did an awe-inspiring, awesome job. The website, the memorials, the photos, the pep talk emails; there are too many thing to list but everything was over and above what anyone could possibly have hoped for. Man! I wish I could make it.

But did I hear mention of the possibility of a 40th reunion? If this is true, you can count on me at that time to show up and give you all a big hug! By then, I will be back in the ‘Peg, retired and rarin’ to go! wink

To all those attending, I hope you enjoy all the festivities, take lots and lots of pictures, and immerse yourselves in wonderful past memories during this once in a lifetime opportunity.

HAVE FUN!
