Hello,

A couple of questions about the class reunion.  Is there a football game Friday night that folks from the class of '83 are attending?  Also, could there possibly be a group tour of the school on Saturday afternoon?  My wife had her 30 year reunion at Asheville High a couple of years ago.  It was a lot of fun going to the football game together.  They also had a big picnic at the school for Saturday lunch and you could take a tour of the school afterwards.  Just a thought.

Thanks,

Kenneth Ratcliffe

Kenneth - Thank you very much for your ideas, I love them!  We plan on looking to see if there is a football game on Friday night, not sure if there is a schedule out yet but will inquire to see.  I love the idea of a school tour....talking about going down memory lane....we will check to see if that is possible and if we can have the picnic at the school (we had thought about having one at a park but I think having it at the school is worth checking into and a great idea).  We will keep you updated!  Thank you again for your ideas!

Kenneth - I will never turn down any help, any help is greatly appreciated!  If you would like to either look into seeing if there is a football game that Friday night and the details so that we can get the information out to our classmates or help get some information started for a picnic on Saturday......or if there is anything else you would rather help with that is fine......pretty flexable and just appreciate any help, just let me know.  Thank you so much!!!!

You can also send me direct messages on facebook and or e-mail (  prideout@wakehealth.edu  )

Fellow NFHS “Class of 83” Classmates,
Time has certainly flown by. It seems that is was only a few years ago when we made that walk across the stage in our cap and gown. During our first days in high school we were able to develop life-long relationships and begin the transition to adulthood. Our experiences excited us and prepared us for the lives we now currently enjoy. It’s not very hard to remember the dances, football games, the multiple clubs and the fun (or trouble) we got into leaving for lunch. These mutual experiences developed a special bond between classmates. We now have an opportunity to celebrate this unique experience by getting together for our 30th Class Reunion.
It is our goal to ensure that we do not let another significant anniversary pass without celebration. We hope that many of you share the same excitement and plan to attend. The planning committee has put together several exciting events for this special occasion but the final decision whether or not we have our 30 year Class Reunion is based on your commitment by purchasing a ticket.
Due to modern technology, people are able to keep up with each other on a daily basis through things like facebook. That has many wonderful benefits but what is sad about that is people letting that take the place of the personal interaction. As time goes by, I have learned that nothing is as important or can take the place of the time you "actually" spend with someone. I am hoping that the North Forsyth High School Class of ‘83” will have that chance again. Let’s work together to reach the goal of 50 tickets purchased by August 1.

I was thinking since so many of us could not attend the reunion, that maybe a cook-out at Tanglewood Park in the Spring might be a good thing.

I'm not sure what a shelter would cost for all day, but if we all chipped in with the drinks, ice, cups and plates, I don;t see where it would cost more than $20.00. Maybe aim for May/June...before people start taking there vacations.....just a thought.

Happy New Year, Lee!

We are going to plan something low key for 2014, and the funding is already in place (thanks to a few generous classmates). We will keep everyone posted!!
