 WELCOME RJR 1971 CLASSMATES! We are excited to have this page where we can keep a perpetual record of our classmates. I am Carol Black Leamon, the current "self-appointed" chair of the reunion committee...I volunteered. My techy husband, Mike, helped me create this page. We hope you find it easy to navigate and that you will take the time to find your profile and correct or fill in the blanks about yourself. A BIG THANKS to the other members of your committee who are working hard to make this reunion perfect: Barbara Clodfelter Kirby, Adele Hanley Casanova, Anne Kelman Burris and Paula Lamson Lange. We will use this site to update details of THE CLASS OF 71's 55th REUNION which is the weekend of September 18-20, 2026. We haven't finalized Friday night plans, but we will gather for a TBD meet-and-greet and attend the Football Homecoming game at the new Douglas Crater Stadium at 7 PM. Tickets go on sale this summer for $10, and purchase information will follow at that time. If there is interest in a Sunday brunch or a campus tour, we will try to work it out. The Big Event is Saturday from 5-10PM at Bermuda Run Country Club in Bermuda Run, just aross the Yadkin River from Tanglewood Park. We are planning an exciting evening for all. We will soon post hotel and transportation suggestions as well. Event information/registration can be found on the left side of this page titled "RJR Class of 71, Reunion Main Event". Since we did not have a 50th reunion, due in part to the pandemic, we plan to go ALL OUT! This will be our 50th Reunion 2.0! Time and experience has changed all of us. We are excited to catch up, make new friends, and renew old ones. Who can't use a new old friend at our age? 

***IMPORTANT: We are asking for donations to help fund the reunion and to sponsor classmates who are unable to afford a ticket. If there are any money is left over after the reunion bills are paid, we will vote and/or take polls on this site about what to do with it. ***If you cannot afford the ticket, please send a private message and it will stay private. Please DO NOT let cost be the reason you don't attend. If you are able to donate, you may do so at the time of your ticket purchase or whenever you are able, but please by the deadline date of August 19, 2026.
