Lynette and I went to Europe for 2 months for Oct & Nov of 2024. We stayed in Ghent, Belgium for Oct. and Saint-Louis, Fr for Nov. Saint-Louis is just across the border from Basel, Switzerland. We took trains all over. Great fun and beautiful scenery.

Every Tuesday night I play music at a restaurant in Starke, Fl called Tony's, 117 S Thompson Ave from 6 - 8:30 pm. If you are ever in the area, stop by. Great food and the music your grew up with.

I enjoy living in our home in Brooker, Fl. Where the heck is Brooker? Brooker is about 20 miles due north of Gainesville. Just over the Santa Fe River in Bradford County.

I am a great-grandfather several times over.

School Story:

When i played football for Lakeview, I used to write an "L" & an "R" on my hands so I could remember which was which.
I told Lynette, when I met her that I had played football for Lakeview and her high school, Wildwood was a big rival.
She asked if I was one of the dummies who had to write an "L & R" on their hands so they wouldn't forget.
I responded "Did I tell you about that?"
She said, "No. She remembered one of the Wildwood football players talking about a guy who was so dumb he had his hands marked with an "L & R."
DARN!

I am sorry to hear this. I saw John only 2 times since graduation. One in a traffic jam in Orlando about 1973 and at our 20th reunion. Rest in Peace.

Well after 35 years in active ministry in the United Methodist Church, I retired June 30, 2020. It was a little different from other retirement ceremonies I have attended over the years. Thank you Covid-19 I did not invite anyone to attend my last service nor did I have a retirement party.

We took a trip to France and stayed a month in Carcassonne. We were there on Nov 11, 2018. There was a wonderful celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Armistice for WWI. I have my photo taken with a Bishop of the Church after the memorial service. A good friend in the UK photoshopped it for me.
