When I first joined the wrestling team at LHHS, he was one of the better guys on the team. So the coach assigned him to give me a quick lesson in getting my butt whooped, as an initiation or something I guess. Needless to say he did a pretty good job of it.
The last time we wrestled though, it ended in a stalemate. So I guess I might have actually learned something along the way.
We also skipped school to go to the beach once or twice. He had a crazy personality and many talents, and I was blessed to have known him.
I first met Kevin as my neighbor in Casselberry. We became good friends..he and my sister dated breifly. I had some good times with him..spring break of our senior year I think. He was an awesome wrestler. I was always quite bigger and stronger than he and remember the first time he coaxed me onto the mat I thought I'd wipe the floor with him. He pretty much played around with me like a cat with a mouse. I remember when his brother called and told me about Kevin's death. I was floored and didn't quite know what to say..I think I was in shock. I deeply regret not being able to attend his funeral as I was leaving for Marine Corps bootcamp and could not attend. I will always remember Kevin and his ability to cheer me up when I was having relationship issues. RIP Kevin..
