Briefly:
After graduating I moved to Portsmouth and lived down by the 'Tug Boats' for a few years. As I was bored and wanted to do something educational and adventurous, I applied for and was excepted into a Marine Ecology Program with The School for Field Studies (out of Cambridge Massachusetts).
I moved to Saint John, US Virgin Islands for 3 months. I lived in a jungle camp with 15 other students and 3 professors. We held classes & studied in the mornings and went scuba diving all afternoon, doing research on the interactions of many different coral reef species and how they were affected by each other, humans etc. A truly wonderful experience.
From there I moved back to NH briefly then to Chapel Hill, North Carolina in September 1985. I worked for a few years as a Floral Designer and Jewelers apprentice. In 1989 I moved to Raleigh NC and enrolled in North Carolina State University. I was married in 1990 to Jeff who was also a student working on his PhD in Statistics. I graduated with a BS in Horticulture in 1992. Unfortunately, my marriage broke up and in 1994 I moved to Asheville NC where I worked at the 'Biltmore Estate' maintaining their tropical conservatory.
I moved back to Raleigh to pursue my Masters in Entomology (I love bugs!) but after a year had to give it up because of a lack of money. I have done a variety of jobs since then including teaching , Real Estate, Sales etc. Currently, I work as a Project Estimator in the Construction Industry.
I have no children and have been single for several years though I prefer not to be single for the rest of my life! :)
I have 3 cats, I love the outdoors. I go camping as often as possible, spend as much time in the water as possible, love hiking, walking and yard work!, including gardening.Also, I have recently started working again with Sterling Silver. I have recently designed and have begun production on a line of Sterling Silver X-mas Ornaments. I'll have them on ETSY.COM in the near future.
