Went to NoVA then to George Mason majoring in Psychology. Subbed at Gar-Field as well as other middle and high schools until I landed job as a Family Support Worker with a program called Healthy Families at N. VA. Family Services. I visited 20 families a week at their homes- Jerry Springer live. One of my cases was on J.S. show. Yes, it all really happened. My youngest familiy was a 12 year old mom. Very enlightening and eye opening to the world of the neglected children that one day became parents themselves... and there I am to guide them to healthy parenting and successful adults and parents. My husband Greg and I met on a blind date on July 26 1992. Glory R. was dating a fellow Agent of Greg's. What can I say.... badge, gun, handcuffs, handsome, 7 years older and wiser, hilarius, charming, and super caring and kind... he was a catch. What really impressed me was that he had already started saving for his children's college and carried a list of Disney Films on VHS that he still needed to complete his collection. He proposed to me blindfolded 4 years later on July 26, married a year later 1997 on you guessed July 26. We are very much alike in that we are funny, organized- anal at times, sensitive, and caring. After seeing what a tough job parenting is I knew I wanted to stay at home with the rug rats we would have. We always thought 2 would be the right number for us. Karah and Gabriel are a super joy. We can't wait to adventure to the next year and what it brings. Yes, it is a lot harder than we thought, but we champion through it. I currently work part time providing 1 hr. before/after care for teachers and administrators. I also run a business from home called "Tot Playschool" leading a class of consisting of 1 1/2 - 4 year olds. Stay tuned for my next adventure. Social work... not so sure if i can handle seeing and experiencing what i did before now that I am a parent myself. I have always wanted to open up "Cyndie's Sundaes," but there just seems to be too many ice cream chains. Who knows... I'm not going to give up my dream. My husband Greg is from Colorado. So we visit Springs often to see his hudge Italian family. Never new how nice a big, caring family could be. I am the luckiest daughter in-law. My Mom and Dad live an hour a way and are trying to move back to Prince William County where I STILL resume. My sister and her family live 5 minutes away. Lately I'm itching to go somewhere else. Greg is tied into D.C. and unbelievably can retire in 2 years. So who knows. I don't want to leave my family and my special friends specially Justine who can write me prescpritions! Thanks Justine! My favorite things to do is: be outside as much as I can. I love nature and sharing it with my family. Bike riding, hiking, camping, swimming, RVing. We are renting an RV and going to the beach in August. Mostly I love just spending time with my husband and children. My life is complete. I think I have reached a popular high in my neighborhood bec. i am always out and well, social! My husband says give her a wall and she will have a 2 hour conversation with it. We have a lot of new military families come in and out of our neighborhood and somehow i am the unofficial resource directory; being that i have lived here my entire life and never stop finding new things to do and experience in our nations capital.
I am very happy! As with everyone we have all had hardships and in some way or another are survivors. God bless us all. We have made great friends from all walks of life and cherish their individuality. I'm just rambling now and do not plan to proofread this by the way. My neck is killing me sitting in bed typing away. Gymnastics has kicked my 38 year old rear end. My friends say I have an ailment of the week. Definitely 2 knee replacements are in my future. "my knee" famously stated in highschool- worried it would give out. I'm not tech at all so eventually i will have my sis post a pic. Nice sharing my life in short with you.

School Story:

Flag Corp! Had so much fun dancing with our Flag poles. Greg loves to make fun of my "band" experience. Gymnastics. Beach week- my first wine cooler experience. Tanning beds... how unhealthy! Friendly's ice cream... yeah we did something to your food when acted like a jerk. Going to a GO GO! Bumper skiing. Sneaking into abandoned houses. Going to cemetaries at night. Driving my cool Cavalier with a rubber "Track Auto" spoiler. Can't forget the boyfriends...you know who you are... all two of you. My BFFs. All the relationships i had halp make who i am today. So many times you pop in my head. I think of a hilarious time, a sad time or a super fun time we had. All remain in my heart and serve a purpose in my memories and in my life now. Helen your still my BFF even though your in Vegas and i'm in Virginia!!!
