I graduated from beauty school my senior year, and I've been doing hair ever since. I have been working in Magna for 16 of my 20 years in the business. I met my husband in 1996, and we got married on Valentines Day at half time at a Jazz Game in 2001. Rocky Anderson performed the ceremony, and the Jazz Bear was the ring bearer. It was crazy and fun. The last 6 years have been challenging for me. My Dad passed away suddenly of a heart attack at age 59 in 2004, then 2 years later my Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease. So, I spent alot of time helping to take care of her. Sadly, a year and a half ago we decided to put her in a Nursing Home there in Bountiful. Since then my siblings and I have been trying to clean out my Parents house. It finally sold a week before last Christmas, which was good but also kind of sad. As long as we had our house I felt like I still lived in Bountiful. Now I'm just a "Magna Woman". (Anyone remember that song?)

Well, my main goal for the future is to get my daughters through the teen years. I have 3 step-daughters, and I remember how they were through that time. Needless to say, I now have 3 grandchildren.
My dream for the near future is to be able to travel more. I'd like to take my kids to different places outside of Utah! Hawaii would be my ultimate goal. But for right now the thought of having a 2 year old on an airplane for that long just does NOT sound like fun!
