Since 1989, I have graduated from Kennesaw State with a degree in English Education. I have taught in private and public schools. I have taught students ranging from pre-k to 65 years old. In February of 1998, I moved to Piedras Negras, Mexico to work with Feed My Lambs Inc. at one of there elementary schools. I was there for a year and a half. I then came back to Georgia for four years. I taught 6th-grade Language Arts for one year at Pine Mountain Middle School in Cobb County. I continued there for a second year and taught 7th and 8th-grade Spanish. I then moved to Cherokee County Schools. I actually taught English and Spanish at Etowah for 2 years. It wasn't as weird as I thought it would be. I rather enjoyed it. Then I moved back to Piedras Negras, Mexico in August of 2003 where I continued for 2 years working with Feed My Lambs. I then became a sort of freelance missionary and helped mission groups from the States that came in on short-term mission trips. I have now been working with Hands and Feet Ministries for a little over a year. I am living in the town of Cotrazar which is located about 3.5 hours north of Mexico City. I love my life. I hope to go to seminary in Mexico City in the near future and eventually pastor my own church.
School Story
Those friendships I made at Etowah are cherished. Eventhough I have not been able to keep in touch with everyone, I certainly have thought of them often.
