Probably because I was so traumatized Dave...

Do you remember the Charlie Brown play Mr. Sullivan (Grade 5) and Miss Vozberg "co produced"?

Better that you don't recall...

:)

You and everyone are always welcome here Sully. There's just so many people here that I thought it would be best to follow the "Soylent Green" guidlines. Dave hello to you and tell Kevin I said hi. Are you both still living near South? I totally remember heading up to kevins through the woods. Is Duffy's still there? I want some Charleston Chews and what other candy did we get?

The surgery is finished and I'm recovering nicely. I hope to be at the reunion and will be looking for tickets and bugging my family that are there for a place to stay. Anyone know how to get roundtip plane tickets cheap? Should I buy now or wait and get the ticket closer to the reunion date?

I will be heading out solo to video and check everything out to see how bad everyone is saying it has become. I hope I will get some good shots of the reunion to take back with me to show everyone here.

Glad to hear your feeling better Mr. pearson! I had a neck issue last year myself! NOT FUN!! Dave, remember having to write pages of the dictionary when he was in a vile mood! How about good old Mr Wilson! He was a great teacher! Or Mrs. Case!! How about Ms. McCann(sp) Dear God she can't still be alive can she? She was older than dirt 35 years ago!!!

Speedy recovery to you Rich.
June will be here before you know it!

Hey Rich... i've been following your recovery on Lifetime... er... I mean Facebook... God speed my friend! You'll be back to porn surfing before long if it ever really slowed you down... Duffy's is long gone. The original Duffy's building has been torn down to make way for a parking lot. The old mill right next door has been turned into apartments. The whole area has chenged considerably and as far as I'm concerned not for the better. I was living pretty much in the same area up until about 3 years ago. Now I'm over on the other side of the city near Lake Quinsigamond but Kev is in the same area. He and Diane Pearson married and built a house right next to his folks house where they still reside

Dictionary writing rocked! NOT! I remember dragging my feet once and not doing much at school and had to take it home to finish for homework... didn't go over too well with the folks I can tell you! Mrs McAnn has passed some time ago. I had gone to her wake and the turn out was insane. She left quite a legacy. And I think Mr Wilson also has passed. I remember being on the wrong end of the ruler from him on more than one occasion when Mrs Whitstanley (?) couldn't bring herself to use the ping pong paddle on me and had him deal out just punishment. Remmebr how great it felt when we were finally old enough to be allowed in teh back for recess? We were the kings!

04/04/09 07:06 PM #177

Michael Sullivan

Oh yes! I remember the paddle very well! Back then there was no adhd! We were just a bunch of punk brats! Although I do like the puzzeled look on my wife's face when she spanks me and I call her Ma'm :) WHO'S YOUR DADDY!!!

Boy, has school changed...I teach third grade and would never even consider saying anything hurtful, let alone doling out pain.

When did they start phasing out corporal punishment. As for the dictionary writing, I was on the receiving end from Mr. Quaglieri...all because I forgot my glasses. I do see him, occasionally and he laughs about it.

My favorite teacher of all time was Miss McAnn, ("Miss McAnn says,") was my mantra...remember how she'd pull out anyone's loose tooth?

Mr. Wilson's son is a math teacher in the city.
Mrs. Case recently retired from being principal.

I agree,Dave, Webster Square is changing...and there is truth in the words, "They paved paradise to put up a parking lot."

I'm just about done clearing away all of the trees/leaves/debris from the yard...leaft behind from the ice storm. Sully, Rutland looks like beavers have taken over the town...with all of the stick piles left by the sidewalks and streets. Our street was cleared last week because I accidentally piled branches too close to the sidewalk and somebody called saying that the kids couldn't walk home safely. The town cleared our entire street!
:)

Dear God Amy!! How do you remember this stuff! I do have some pretty amazing memories of New Ludlow as well though!
I tore a tendon on the bottom of my foot a few weeks ago so I've been out of commission and on crutches for the last week. I just found out today that they don't need to do any surgery to repair it :) and I can toss the crutches!!! But my yard is still in pretty rough shape! I think this is going to be a year long repair job! Lets just keep our fingers crossed that I don't cut my leg off with the chainsaw! That will make dancing in June rather tough!

Hey folks,
Just catching up on the posts its been a while. I remember the fire alarms because as captain of the football team they stationed me at an alarm pull box outside of the business pod. I was supposed to be in Mrs. Webmans class, but I was sitting just outside in the hallway. Let me ask this, do any of you remember when Mr. Zenos bumbed me in front of Mr. Marzilli (silly zilly)and we got in a huge fight? I believe it was a study hall. Mr. Ciani stuck up for me!!!!! Surprise....I ended up passing out D-Merits for the rest of the day.

Holy crap, I forgot about Mrs. Webman Joe!! I had her one year for a business course and the class was up on the third floor in a room about the size of a closet! I remember Mr. Walsh and Mr. McDermott running after a couple kids down twords the rez right after the alarm was pulled! Can't remember if they cought em though. I remember taking history with Mr. fanning. Me and Dan MacInness counted how many times he said "huh" in one class! It was like 120 times!!!! I was trying not to laugh, but every time he said it I laughed harder and harder! Finally he yells at me and says "Sullivan!!! what the hell is so funny...HUH" I think I actually peed in my pants that day! I thought he was gonna punch me in the head, but it was to late! The damage was done!!

What about Mr. Minor? Was that the most boring class or what? If I remember correctly, Lloyd Strout sat next to me. You can tell I spent most of my high school years in my shell because I don't recall any of these stories that are being told!!!!!!!!!! All good times.

04/17/09 12:30 PM #183

Lee Blanchard (McKenna)

Do you mean Major Minor? 7th period English with him was a killer. One page per day of Julius Ceasar - for a year. If I ever see that little orange book again I might relapse into that same pre-Coma state! It was a big switch from Debbie Goirdano's tales of flying Mick Jagger around in her plane - and Ms. Raynor's weed stories.

04/17/09 11:09 PM #184

Eric Solomon (Salomonsson)

Ah! Mr. Miner's English class!! I was there as well Karen! It was you and I along with Lynn Rivenburg, Cheryl Webb, and Helen Watson. Remember this: "I see ships! Yes, in the harbor I see ships!" He was always yelling at us to keep quiet!

jesus mary and joseph... and all the bow legged saints in heaven. Do you really mean to bring up cats eyes Giordano. That woman spent more time ahem adoring Jack the shot than most sports fans.

04/23/09 11:37 AM #186

Lee Blanchard (McKenna)

Ahhh - Jack the Shot, who did not believe that sleep was necessary and worked all night patrolling Quabbin, adopted 5 Puerto Rican sons and had pet snakes living in his bathtub? Not sure what I actually learned about history but I do remember a lot of his own stories. I'd fogotten about the Debbie connection... I wondered if he had a thing with Mrs. O'Brien who drank cold duck out of her thermos? Gee maybe we did not have the most "normal" high school experience!

Joe Wrixon

ok people here is one for the records.
Ted george getting Mr. Woodfin sooooo mad he ran down the row of seats, khocked me over, grabbed Ted, at which point...... believe it or not ....Ted started saying, "no massa please dont beat me massa". I damned near shat myself.I never seen that man so mad.

June Blanchette (Norton)

OMG - Mrs. O'Brien. I wracked my brain recently trying to remember her name. (Buffy, no comments on "wracked" vs "wrecked"...)I just remember sitting next to a kid name Curt and passing notes back & forth about the thermos of cold duck...he actually wrote something about it in my yearbook. And Ms Raynor...by the Gods, she was THE best teacher I ever had.

04/28/09 09:47 AM #189

Lee Blanchard (McKenna)

Ms. Rayner, yes, the best! Who else would encourange to write papers about real-life experiences - like Mike Walsh's paper about watching Steven Tyler pass out at an Aerosmith concert, or my paper about Carly Simon's battles with her (then) heroin addicted ex-husband? She was cool and smart, while definately a closet doobie smoker. I'm not sure that I learned one thing about Algebra from Mrs. O'Brien - we were all too busy passing notes, laughing at Richard Pearson's jokes - and commenting on her drinking problem.

04/29/09 12:15 AM #190

David LeBoeuf

Bug! I'm hurt! Why would I even begin to comment on such a thing... oh yeah... my bad... Who remembers the day Dr Connor flying tackled Ms Raynor?!? I think you were there Eric... who else? Fun times...

04/29/09 12:18 AM #191

David LeBoeuf

And let's not forget those of us who were the founding fathers (and mothers) Of the Student Study Haven in the AV lab!!

04/29/09 10:18 PM #192

Joe Wrixon

Would that by any chance be Mr. Frank Walsh's AV lab?
