School Story
After graduation, I began my college career as an art major, however when I transferred to WMU, I majored in Special Education, after completing course work at the State Hopital in Kalamazoo. It was a decision I never regretted and retired after 39 years as a special education educator/consultant in the Port Huron School system. I also met my husband in Port Huron and had always hoped I'd move back to GR, but that was not to be. While working, art continued to be important in my life and I opened an interior redesign business, after completing training. I still dabble but am pretty much retired in this area also. Now I enjoy traveling with my husband and visiting our children who presently live in San Antonio, Texas and Dearborn, Mi.
