Leonetta Pinkie McVeigh (York)

Leonetta Pinkie McVeigh (York)YAKIMA - Leonetta "Pinkie" York, 42, of Yakima passed away from pancreatic cancer at home on March 6, 2003 in her husband's arms. With love surrounding her just the way she wanted.

Pinkie was born in Denver, Colorado on October 5, 1960 to Leon and Avis McVeigh. Her family moved to West Valley in 1969 where she graduated from West Valley High School in 1978. In 1979, Pinkie married Joe Rainier and even though that marriage ended in 1986 they had two great daughters (Sarah and Jayme). On April 12, 1997 Pinkie married the love of her life, Max York, and even though her life ended too soon, they had a loving and caring relationship full of joy and laughter.

I grew up with Pinkie, what adventures we had on the hill between the Casey's and the McVeigh's, good times.
