          HERBERT LEON BRADSHAW

                           8-5-1946  -  11-7--2022

This is the last picture I got of Herbert Leon Bradshaw.  He was in town one weekend and took Mary Dean and Me to lunch.  Leon had a lot of health issues, but he was my friend.   He cared about his friends and also his family.  He kept in touch with Faye and me, and would call us 2 o'clock or 3 o'clock in the morning as if it was the normal thing to do.  He always called all of us on our birthday.  Today is my birthday and I will not be receiving my call.  This makes me really sad.  Leon was always in a good mood and could make you laugh.  I received word on Monday, November 7, 2022 that Leon had died.  The news left a terrible pain in my heart.  Faye, Bernard and Clay knew how much I cared for Leon, and they all called to let me know the news.  Thanks to all of you who also cared for Leon.  May you Rest In Peace my friend.

Mrs. Willie Mae Jones Johnson

My fellow classmates, It is with much sorrow that we announce the death of another classmate.  Willie Mae Jones Johnson died on November 26, 2022 at The Brookdale  Assisted Living Facility in Reidsville, NC.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:00 pm at The Cornerstone Christian Center in Reidsville, NC.   

Willie Mae was always willing to help wherever she could regarding our class functions and reunions.  She will be miss by those who knew her.  Rest in Heaven classmate.

Death Notice for 1964 Classmate

It is with sorrow that we announce that our classmate "John Arthur Holman" was struck by a car and died at the scene on Thursday Night in Chapel Hill, NC.

Classmates,  This is to inform you that we lost another classmate.  Her name is Laura Ann Hicks, originally from Milton, NC.  She did not sign up for the website.

OBITUARY

On June 20, 2023, Laura Ann Hicks passed awaw at the Sovah Hospital in Danville, Va.  She was surrounded by her family.

Laura was born in Milton NC, to the late Hudson and Dorothy Hicks.  She worked for the Rutgers University in Newark, NJ as a security guard, for twenty-five years.

While there, she received many honors and awards for her alertness and leadership skills.

Laura was preceded in death by a brother Hurley and a sister Doris.  She is survived by her loving daughters Michelle and Yolanda, grandson Tharin "TT", and great grandaughter Journey.  She is also survived by sisters and brothers, Arnedia, Sadye, Roecina (John), and  Angela, Ronnie, Darrell, Jacqueline, and Mark, along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at:
