Kathleen Nuckols

Hi! I went to Prendie High School and entered the IHM's after graduation. I graduated from Immaculata College with a BS and Rowan University with a MA in Administration. I was professed in 1969 and began teaching at Holy Rosary School in Ashland, NJ. Since then I have been stationed in Falls Church, VA; West Conshohocken, PA; North East Phila; Lynchburg, VA; Norfolk, VA; Easton, PA; Penndel, PA; and Villas, NJ. As you can see, you don't have to be in the armed services to see the world. I taught different grades from 3 - 8 for about 15 years. Then I was a principal for 22 years. When St. Raymond Regional School, in Villas NJ closed in 2007, I stayed in the parish as Pastoral Assistant. Basically I run the CCD program and the RCIA program.

When I was in 4th or 5th grade the boys were running around the perimeter of the classroom while the nun was out of the room. I must have been on a corner, because I put my arm out for them to make a fast turn at the corner. One of the boys pulled my sleeve off my blouse. He really felt badly. I pushed the sleeve back up around my shoulder and the nun never found out. I am not sure who the boy was, but he followed me home from school (I was running, trying to lose him because I thought he was going to tell my mother what I had done) He came to tell her it was his fault and he apologized. My Mom said don't worry it's an old blouse.
Remember how Mr. Frank Kelly was the coach for vollyball, basketball, softball, and track for the girls' teams. By eighth grade we were calling him Uncle Frank. He was also the MC for our gradution dance. He got 10 boys up and 10 girls up and forced a couples multiplication dance. He did get some of us moving. I remember some of the boys turned into "Happy Feet."
