Comments:

Michael Havelin is semi-retired but continues to work as a freelance sign language interpreter in Western North Carolina. These days, I'm writing fiction, both short stories and novels. You can find them through Google & Amazon. "Mystery Mastery - Creating a Believable Mystery Novel," is now available thru amazon & directly from Michael. I've run a mystery writers' critique group in Asheville since 2009.

Over the years, I've been a professional musician (The Bougalieu, The Old Pros, Cacti Delicti, No Small Tornado), teacher (computers, nature & wildlife photography), computer consultant, sign language interpreter, professional filmmaker & photographer (nature & motorcyycle roadracing), author of articles and books, publisher (the now defunct "Shooter's Rag: The Practical Gazette for Silver and Digital Photographers" and "Dialed In!" a national motorcycle roadracing newspaper), editor, woodworker, and have even practiced law. I am googleable.

I've written/published a bunch of mystery novels. Search for Michael Havelin's books at Amazon.

School Story:

Best teachers for me were Mrs. Beale (English), Ms. Beimler (Spanish), and Mrs. Matilda Smith (Biology). I have always been a writer and enjoyed working with languages. I've worked in Panama (in English though I lived in Spanish), and still work as a sign language interpreter. Mrs. Smith taught me about research, though not on purpose.

Rochester Institute of Technology - AAS & BFA (Photography)
University of Florida - JD (Law)
