Meetings have occurred and decisions have been made. IT’S OFFICIAL! We are having our 20th class reunion at Homecoming July 23 – 25th, 2010.
There are many events that you and your family can enjoy during the weekend: an ice cream social on Friday; Planetarium shows (either on Friday or Saturday), and The Celebration on the Lawn on Saturday. Our class has a special location to gather on Saturday for lunch- the balcony of the new dorm Enotah Hall. Information from the college states our class with meet there at 2 pm, but the area will be open to us the entire day. I cannot think of a better area to connect with classmates, eat a great lunch and enjoy the afternoon.
The general consensus of the planning committee was that a family friendly event on Saturday evening would appeal to everyone. The college will be having a more “adult friendly” event at The Ridges- Keep the Party Going! (For more information about that event please see college website or contact the alumni office.) Plans are still in the works for our event, but our goal is to have a cookout/BBQ style event at Mayor’s Park on Saturday evening. We have already reserved the location, and all other details are underway. Anyone know a great caterer in the area? We are still looking for a few people to join the planning committee. If you are getting excited about joining us, you might want to go ahead and secure your lodgings. Reports from past years are that hotels and other lodgings get booked early. Please see included information at the end of this letter for more details. Consider contacting other members of our class to rent a nearby cabin.
Save the date, request that vacation time, and make reservations at your favorite staying place. We are looking forward to seeing you. Look for up-to-date information with RSVP and cost per person in the near future. Also do not forget to register at www.YHC1990.com. Look at the missing classmates list and invite your classmates to join you for a great weekend.
