Jerry's Story

 
Jerry E. Fuzzy Black, age 70 of North Tonawanda, died Friday July 7, 2017 in the Northgate Health Care Facility in Wheatfield.

Jerry was born August 25, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late William Carl and Louise (Diez) Black and was a 1964 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. He was employed as a Custodian by Harrison Radiator Division of GM in Lockport for 35 years, retiring in 1999.

Jerry enjoyed golfing, bowling, John Wayne westerns, and playing cards. He was also an avid Sabres and Buffalo Bills fan.

He is survived by his former wife and care giver, Irene Sattelberg of North Tonawanda; a daughter, Julie (Mike) Laughlin of Lewiston; a son, James Black of Wilson; two grandchildren; three brothers, William (Nancy) Black of Wilson, Albert Louis (Yvonne) Black of Pekin, and John (Susan) Black of Ransomville. He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Black.

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday, July 11, from 4 - 7 pm. Funeral Services will be private t the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. Of WNY, 2805 Wherle Dr. Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221, or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
