Brenda Himes Fryburger

Have had a very interesting life so far. After High School went to Nursing School, then worked at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital in ICU for about 2 years, then joined the Air Force. While at Niagara got to go to The Woodstock, it was crazy and such a muddy mess, was not a hippie, but the music was great. Compliments of the AF got to travel all over Europe. Spent two years in Japan and did a lot of travelling all over the Far East. Spent a year in Viet Nam at DaNang Air Base. Spent 5 years on Active Duty, then decided to get off of Active status and then joined the Reserves. Lived at Auburn, Alabama for 5 years. Worked at the VA Hospital at Tuskegee, Al. Got the chance to go to Nurse Practitioner School at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and worked at the VA med Center there. Lived in Cincinnati for 45 years. Settled down and got married. Moved to the Columbus, OH area about 4 years ago. Retired from the Air Force Reserves where I was a Flight Nurse. Also retired from the VA. My husband passed away 3 !/2 years ago, but I live close to my son. Have two grandsons age 6 and 4.

Enjoyed my years at Lew-Port. Had many wonderful teachers- Mrs. Thorn, Mr. Decker, Mr. Pilato (was in the Band), Mrs. O'Brien, Mr. Kozar and Miss Hannah. All of them were wonderful and to prepare me for my life ahead!
