Doug, age 47 of Pinckney, passed away on January 29, 2006. He will be greatly missed by the love of his life Ellen Marie Casey, his parents Anthony and Margaret Gricus, sisters Cathy and Walter Lane and Laura and Rick Hotchkiss. Nephews Jeremy, Chad, Dustin, Garrett, and Collin and niece Chelsea, and numerous friends and co-workers.

For nearly 10 years, Doug worked in the Ann Arbor community, at Varsity Ford, in the Parts department.

Doug was diagnosed with an extremely aggressive form of cancer about 10 months before his death. Unfortunately, the treatment under which he had gone was not covered by insurance.

Doug was known as a man with a kind heart and an enormous sense of humor. In the past, Doug had shown his generosity for others, in their time of need, as he participated in many charitable functions as well as benefits to aide his neighbors from the community in which he had worked and lived.

Doug had a passion for music and enjoyed playing with his former Junkyard band members. Doug will be remembered for his many artistic talents. His passion for music and his enjoyment of life.
