What did you do after leaving BHS?
Attended Columbus College. Enlisted in USAF August, 1964. Honorable discharge 1968. Finished BS degree in Biology, summer 1971. Taught school two years, completed MEd at Columbus College. In and out of the classroom teaching science and math for 13 years. Completed Specialist degree in science education, became certified in school administration and served as director of Regional Assessment Center (a state funded agency involved in the certification of beginning teachers). Became assistant principal of Hardaway high school and subsequently, dare I admit it, assistant principal of Columbus high school. My next assignment was principal of Muscogee County summer school (never again) before accepting a position with testing and research at the State Department of Education in Atlanta. Retired in 05 and have been enjoying life since then in Dunwoody, Georgia. Wife and I travel when possible and spoil the grandkids at every opportunity.
