Education: Emory University, 1962-66; Duke University, 1966-71.
Employment: Work control technician, Base Civil Engineers, Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC, 1971; math instructor, GA Department of Family and Children Services, Atlanta, GA, 1972; archivist, National Archives, Washington, DC, 1973-2006.
Married: Teresa Anne Foucault, Washington, DC, 2/29/1976. (We chose the date because Terry is a Leap Year baby and I figured that way I'd be more likely to remember our anniversery and her birthday). Terry was also employed at the National Archives. We met in the basement snack bar when we shared a coffeebreak table, 1974.
Retired on: 9/30/2006 (me); 2/28/2007 (Terry).
Retired to: Outer Banks of North Carolina, October 2007. We had been summer visitors to the OBX since 1985, bought our retirement home August 2004.

Personal interests: Politics (Republican), cheap beer (Schlitz) and good bourbon (Wild Turkey), rail travel, slide photography, reading (history, westerns, science fiction), backyard bird watching, book collecting.
