School Story:
I moved to Tampa Bay in the middle of our junior year. Coming to a huge high school and not knowing anyone was intimidating at the time. Being very homesick, I use to sit outside during lunch hour and cry under the chief head. I soon met friends along with being introduced to what a cuban was, not to mention experience the hot Florida classrooms. I recall missing the bus and walked all the way to Carrolwood. To this day, I still love the smell of orange blossoms..
My friend, Tracey Weiss introduced me to many great people. I loved going to Young Life, Rowdies games, football games, a favorite was CCD pizzeria. My first job was at Tampa Federal Savings & Loan as an appraisal assistant downtown Tampa. I worked with Lori Govich and we had many fun times going out. I loved the Buc games when their colors were orange. I met Laura Keene, Cindy Faucette and Brenda Matchell, many from Chamberlain after graduation attending HCC. I won't forget the time Brenda and I had back stage passes to The Rollings Stones. Today, I still keep in touch with Tracey and Laura, they are lifetime friends. There are many whom I don't keep in touch with ( Lori Govich, Patty Borowski, Cathy Beam, where are you?) Music from the 80's will play ..Supertramp, Styx, Steely Dan, Queen and I will think of the great times we had. Clearwater Beach is still my all time favorite beach, and I still love the Bucs-I miss the season tickets too. My home for 29 years is north of Orlando but I will always love going back to Tampa Bay.
