It is with sadness that I would like to write a few words about Bob. I am so sorry that he suffered so much with his cancer, a courageous fighter and great optimist, surrounded by loving family and friends.I know he felt that our THS years were some of the happiest of his life, and I am grateful that we were able to stay in contact. Thank you, Ed, for setting up the THS site that made contact possible with so many classmates. And thanks to all the classmates who made the 50th class reunion possible, so Bob and so many of us could gather and meet as adults. I knew Bob as a super smart and always curious classmate, who made me laugh harder than any other friend. He always had a big smile, and had the same big smile and happy nature at the reunion. I will miss trading texts with him, as I miss so many who have passed out of our lives, but not our hearts. From Bob's obiturary, we can see how he touched so many others throughout his life.

Yes, Bob, my first real boyfriend. And we were lucky enough to have a long friendship. He would drop by my house for years, and all my brothers remember him. When we moved to Marrietta, GA I literally ran into his wife, Sharon, and we had a few years of having our children know each other. Our youngest son,Ben, attended Bill's Hitting Camp! Bill was the baseball coach at the local HS then. What fun for our boys to play ball together. I recently saw his daugther, Kristen, at our 50th HS reunion, since she came with him on that trip. And less than two weeks ago she called to give me the terrible news that Bill was dying, and asked if I would like to talk with him. On no medications, always active, he had a massive stroke and Kristen had been with him the whole time and he was home. HIs brother Ronnie had just arrived so I spoke with them all. And Bill heard me and raised his hand to let me know he knew I was talking with him. He could not talk. And I rambled about the good times we had, and how I know he was such a positive influence on so many children throughout his years of teaching and coaching, and what a good man he was in so many ways. Anyone on the yearbook committee knew how hard I fought to have Bill's picture as the divider for the sports section. So I told him about the only battle I fought for him. It was one of the hardest phone calls I ever made....At our reunion he said he was the caregiver for his only son, Tyler.
I have stayed in touch with Kristen, and will try to attend Bill's memorial whenever it is planned. Kristen plans to visit me.
So all of you stay safe and well. My best to you and your families.

Hi Bob, Welcome. Reading all the responses and seeing all the pictures, makes me really eager for our reunion next year....brings a smile with all the memories of good times. Will be great to see you and many, I hope. Wishing you well.
Hey Gay. Post some pictures from the Thanksgiving reunion.
Hi, Jeff...have thought of my senior prom date throughout the years. Great to see your smiling face again. Hope you are well. I am planning on being in Troy on Nov 28th...hope you can join us. We have some great museums up here in the Berkshires for you to visit and a friend. Gay
