After high school, I went to the University of Kentucky and graduated in 1992 with a degree in piano performance. Then I moved on to USC to get a masters in music in piano pedagogy which I completed in 1995. I opened a school of music and arts in Aiken which was successful for five years at which time I chose to close the school and stay home to have a family. We then moved to the Clemson area and, once the boys were in school, I went back to work. I presently work at First Baptist in Piedmont, SC, at Southern Wesleyan University, and at the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities summer programs. Over the years I have been an instructor and collaborative pianist at Clemson and TriCounty Technical College. My oldest son just graduated from Easley High School and my youngest will be a sophomore. We plan to move to our farm in Tennessee once the youngest has graduated.
